We are LBBD’s first nonprofit restaurant serving South East Asian food in the Borough. We also run our food bank in Barking so that no food is wasted and all profits are invested back to our food bank to sustain our food bank. Our ‘More than just a meal’ motto means that every meal you purchase from us helps us feed a less fortunate family, individual or homeless in the Borough on a daily basis. We are the borough’s preferred caterer and have the experience in hospitality. We cater for vegetarians, vegans and halal. Fortunately, we are humbled by receiving three awards in three consecutive years for our dedication to providing good nutritious food to those in need. We received late Queen’s Volunteers award MBE in 2022, Our Director, Nighat Bhola received her British Empire Medal in 2023 and in 2024 we were awarded the Islam Channel Community Business of the Year award. We serve approximately 1200 people in need a week through our open fridge in Barking.
