About Us
Working collaboratively with studios and incoming productions, we’re committed to driving growth in East London’s film sector. Together, we’re shaping the future of film — empowering local talent, fostering creativity, and building a thriving, inclusive industry for all.
Film Barking and Dagenham was set up in 2014 to support the growth of the film sector in East London. Since then, over 200 productions have filmed here and the borough has become the site of London’s biggest new film studios for 25 years, Eastbrook Studios at Dagenham East.
The team supports local productions to meet their needs – from external filming locations, storage and permits, to local crew and suppliers.
Our Vision
Increase Inclusivity and Diversity: We believe in an industry where everyone has a voice, championing opportunities for underrepresented groups and nurturing a vibrant, diverse and creative community.
Tackle Industry Skills Gaps: By addressing the evolving needs of the screen industries, we help close skills gaps through targeted training and development, ensuring the workforce is equipped for success.
Create Life-Changing Opportunities: From aspiring learners to jobseekers and local businesses, we offer access to invaluable opportunities that open doors to sustainable careers and impactful collaborations.
