Past Opportunities
Careers
Our first immersive Skills for Screen event, held at UCL PEARL, focused on exploring diverse film career pathways – in our second year, we introduced students to technical roles in film through a real-time virtual production showcase, bridging the gap between creativity and cutting-edge technology. Our youngest pupils enjoyed scriptwriting workshops and a visit to Barking & Dagenham College’s media studios, where they experienced the magic of production and creative arts firsthand.
Projects
Launched this year, our Film Enterprise Project saw students pitch their short film ideas to a panel of industry specialists, with the winners’ films selected to be made – giving aspiring directors, scriptwriters, and producers a unique chance to see their vision come to life. Family and friends attended a celebratory red-carpet premiere at Vue Dagenham, where the films were showcased to an excited audience. And in an ambitious TV production and outside broadcast project, secondary pupils created their own chat show, experiencing the fast-paced world of TV production and broadcasting firsthand with Crew Room Academy.
